Test results

Please be mindful that our reception and administration teams are unable to comment on the interpretation of any results; they will only convey information the clinician has attached to the result.

We adhere to a strict confidentiality and data protection policy, and we will only share the result with the patient who has had the test, unless we have prior permission for the release of this information to a third party and it is noted in the clinical record. This could be to a relative, carer, guardian etc. Please let us know if you require someone else to support you with your care.

Please also keep us up to date with your correct contact information.

Getting your test results

We do not routinely contact you if your test results are normal. If the doctor requests to see you as a result of your test, then you will be contacted to make an appointment

Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:

  • in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • in your SystmOnline account
  • phone or visit us after 2pm and we will tell you what the results are

Questions about your results

If you want to talk to someone about your results, fill out our test results request form and someone will be in touch.
